For Discovery Channel’s annual Shark Week, the lovable but sometimes annoying pranksters of Jackass imitated the classic scene- LITERALLY. And the stunt, well, it ended about as well as you’d think.

Having already completed numerous wakeboarding stunts across a shark-infested area unscathed, Jackass vets Steve-O and Chris Pontius decided that Sean McInerney, aka Poopies, should try to jump over sharks on his wakeboard using a large ramp.

Unfortunately, McInerney had trouble sticking the landing and was bitten almost immediately by a shark on his arm after hitting the water.

Given the nature of the Jackass show and the insane stunts they perform, help was within arm’s reach (pun intended), and a tourniquet was tied to his injured appendage.

Pontius was more sympathetic, “It’s a reminder that, yeah, like, we are pushing it pretty hard,”

And McInerney? He’s not holding any grudges against the shark that bit him.
