Kimber, a search-and-rescue dog, and her Fire and EMS colleagues were called into action when a building collapsed on Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Firefighters used their hands, pry bars, and saws to free him.
Emergency crews rushed him to the hospital once he was freed. He was listed with severe but non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive.
Vito Maggiolo from the D.C. Fire and EMS Department said that Kimber was trained to tell the difference between a deceased or a live scent.
