A viral video circulating online shows a Colorado contractor from Dream Home Remodels destroying a bathroom shower with a sledgehammer after the homeowner allegedly refused to pay him.
“Let me tell you something! No contractor will fix that when they find out, she refused to pay me.”
The contractors also did other work in the house, including fixing the back door and two ceiling fans.
Homeowner Amber Trucke claims the contractors did not do an excellent job on the door or the shower, and she wanted to ensure the plumbing worked properly before paying them.
“I wasn’t wowed. I wanted to be wowed. I wasn’t going to pay them until I saw the finished product,” Trucke said.
Jordan Cazares, co-owner of Dream Home Remodels, said that he regrets that the contract went sour, but he claims that Trucke has not even paid them for a new exterior door, light fixtures, and ceiling fans.

The Pikes Peak Regional Building Department and Colorado Police are looking into the matter.
