AUTHORITIES SAID TUESDAY THAT a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) passenger was killed after she was dragged by a departing train at the Powell Street Station.
The San Francisco Medical Examiner identified the woman as 41-year-old Amy Adams of San Francisco.
Adams had a dog leash tied around her waist and had boarded a train bound for Dublin/Pleasanton in San Francisco around 3:15 p.m., but she disembarked right as the doors were closing, leaving the dog inside the train.

Adams was fatally dragged and pulled onto the train tracks, according to BART officials.
BART officials said there was no visual indication the dog was a service animal, but that is under investigation.
