
After he accidentally caught and released it alive, a 48-year-old Australian man removed the monitoring tag from a Great White Shark. He used the tag to set off fake shark warnings for over a month deliberately.
The acoustic tag was affixed to the shark by the Dept of Primary Industries & Regional Development, was discovered by police officials after searching the man’s home.

Authorities have charged the man with one count of stealing government property; according to the Guardian Australia.
