Authorities say a 19-year-old Wisconsin woman accidentally shot a friend using a handgun’s laser sight to play with a cat.

According to the criminal complaint, Pleasant was visiting an apartment with three other people Tuesday afternoon. One of them brought a 9mm handgun that he set on a dresser.

The injured man is facing charges for illegal possession of a firearm.
